Atlas Ocean Voyages has officially commenced its 2024-2025 Antarctica season, showcasing three ships equipped with expanded teams of 17 seasoned polar expedition guides. Led by expert expedition leaders, each team includes specialists like naturalists, geologists, marine biologists, and historians, who enrich the journey with engaging lectures, Zodiac landings, and onshore hikes, ensuring a memorable and immersive experience. Guests enjoy personalized interactions with the team, creating deeper connections that make for a truly exceptional polar expedition.

World Voyager™ Expedition Team
Led by Expedition Leader Aaron Strahlke, the World Voyager team offers deep knowledge and hands-on experiences. Aaron, a geologist with extensive polar experience, shares his passion for wildlife and exploration. He is joined by Assistant Expedition Leader Christophe Bassous, an expert in microbiology and polar expeditions. Key members include Kayak Master Gabriele Lamartina and a talented team of naturalists, marine biologists, and photographers, all enhancing the guest experience through their expertise and enthusiasm.
World Navigator® Expedition Team
With over a decade of polar expertise, Expedition Leader Jonathan Zaccaria leads the World Navigator team. Beginning his career in Antarctica, Jonathan brings unparalleled knowledge, having led more than 170 polar voyages. The team includes Assistant Expedition Leader Christian Garwood, Kayak Master Marcos Sperr, and a diverse group of guides and specialists in ornithology, marine biology, and international law, who together offer guests a comprehensive and enlightening Antarctic adventure.
World Traveller™ Expedition Team
Expedition Leader Ekaterina Uruypova, known as Katya, brings her expertise in environmental sciences to the World Traveller. With a background spanning both the Arctic and Antarctic, she leads a team of naturalists, historians, and meteorologists. Notable team members include Kayak Master Luis Turi, Polar Meteorologist Sasha Zulas, and a host of skilled guides and photographers, each dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for every traveler.

Atlas Ocean Voyages’ Antarctica expeditions begin with a pre-expedition hotel stay and private charter flights from Buenos Aires or Punta Arenas.
